Build a cleaning service estimate from labour, materials, equipment, overhead and an explicit gross margin.

 Calculator

Sources, assumptions & review

User input **Values you provide**

Check units, basis and local values before relying on the output.

Calculated **Transparent model output**

Metricon applies the displayed formula to the inputs on this page.

Assumption **Model boundary**

Scenario inputs and defaults are not measured facts unless you supplied them from a controlled source.

Review **Human decision**

Compare the result with approved product directions, actual operating conditions and accountable judgement.

Formula `Pre-tax quote = total cost ÷ (1 − margin ÷ 100) · Total cost = direct cost × (1 + overhead ÷ 100)`

Work hours

Use calculated or measured hours for the period being quoted.

hours

Loaded labour cost per hour

Your verified cost including applicable employment costs. This is not a statutory wage lookup.

₹

Materials and consumables

Cost for the same quoted period; include your documented chemical-use estimate.

₹

Equipment cost

Rental or allocated equipment cost for the quoted period.

₹

Supervision and other direct costs

Include these once; exclude amounts already in labour or other fields.

₹

Overhead on direct cost

Additional overhead applied to the direct-cost subtotal.

%

Gross margin on the pre-tax quote

Margin is profit divided by selling price, not markup on cost.

%

Tax on the pre-tax quote

Enter the verified applicable rate and tax basis. Zero is an editable assumption, not a tax determination.

Quote including entered tax **—**

**Before using the result**

Keep every input on the same period and currency basis. Confirm the scope of work, applicable labour costs, tax treatment and contract terms. Gross margin must be below 100%. This is an estimate for review, not a binding offer or tender approval.

## How it works

### Choose one service period

Use labour hours and all costs from the same period and scope. State which tasks, materials and equipment the estimate covers.

### Build the direct cost

Enter hourly labour cost, materials, equipment and supervision. Use your own supported costs and avoid counting a cost in more than one field.

### Set overhead, margin and tax

Enter overhead on direct cost, gross margin as a share of the pre-tax quote and the applicable verified tax assumption. The calculator does not fetch rates.

### Review the quote build-up

Review total cost, pre-tax quote and tax-inclusive quote together. Check exclusions, quantities and assumptions before using the estimate in a proposal.

## Frequently asked questions

Is gross margin the same as markup?

No. Gross margin is the share of the pre-tax quote remaining after modelled cost. The quote equals total cost divided by one minus the margin percentage.

Which costs and period should I use?

Use supported costs for the same service period. Labour is hours multiplied by hourly cost; materials, equipment and supervision are period totals. Avoid double-counting supervision or overhead already included elsewhere.

Does the calculator set wage or tax rates?

No. You supply the hourly cost and tax percentage. Verify those values for the actual location, service and proposal; example values do not establish statutory rates or approve a tender.
